TOGOAL TE02 Digital Light Timer Plug with 3-prong Outlet
A 2-pack of programmable digital timers is double the fun. Eighteen different program times are available, making it a versatile timer as well. Purchased in July 2019, I use them daily to run my home water distiller in the middle of the night to save energy.
Time Shift to Save Energy
Using a digital timer that you can program allows you to run appliances during off-peak times. For example, if you wanted to run a dehumidifier only on off-peak hours, you can set the timer to turn it on during off-peak hours.
Flexible Time Schedules
There is a wide range of possible schedules. You can program a daily schedule for each individual day of the week. It also can run the same program every day of the week. There are presets for just weekdays, just weekends, M-W-F, T-Th-SA, M-T-W, Th-F-SA, M-W-F-SU. Lots of built-in flexibility with ten on-off programs for each day or group of days.
Built-In Battery Backup
A built-in battery keeps the timer clock running even when unplugged. Plugging the timer in the wall automatically recharges the built-in battery. The battery doesn’t power the appliance when the power is off; it just maintains your existing settings. If the timer is not plugged in, eventually the battery will die, plug the timer back in for 24 hours to recharge the battery.
Controls up to 1800 watts
The timer allows you to use up to 15 amps or 1800 watts of power. That’s the maximum a regular house outlet is designed to handle. It works just as well with lights, decorations, or other low power devices.
The design is for a single socket. If you want to control more than one device, you can plug a power strip or extension cord into the timer. There is still room in the socket to connect another device into a standard 2-socket outlet. Some timers take up too much of the socket and prevent you from plugging in a second cord.
The random setting varies the on and off times by as much as 30 minutes on each side of the scheduled time. For example, if you have the on-time set to 8:00 pm, the timer will turn on between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm. The random feature is mainly used as a security feature so that it looks like someone is home by varying the on-off times rather than have it come on at exactly 8:00 pm each evening.
The ToGoal TE02 programmable digital timer is reliable and useful. Because it is so flexible, programming takes a few minutes and a little reading. If you want a plug and play, then this might not be the timer for you. I’ve included a link to the owner’s manual that provides instructions on how to program for many different events.
MonkeyFAQs From Around The Web:
I’ll be away from my home for over a month. Once set will this work for that time period?
Answer: Yes, I’ve been using both of our timers for about a month. So far they have worked perfectly. One tip though, be sure you set the time on and off for all 7 days, otherwise it will only work for the single day default. I would set it and use it before you leave to make sure that you have it the way you want it. We leave ours alone as we use ours whether we are gone or home.
Can I set it to turn my WIFI router off twice a week for four or five minutes at a time but have power all the rest of the time to my router?
Answer: Yes, no problem. For example, you can set two programs: one to set the timer to come on at 3:00 AM on Monday and go off at 3:00 AM on Thursday; the other to set the timer to come on at 3:05 AM on Thursday and go off at 2:55 AM on Monday. Hope you will find this information helpful.
Can I set it for days to come on for example I only want it on Monday Wednesday Friday and 6 am?
Answer: Yes. You can choose days and time. You can set up to 10 different off/on schedules.
Does this have an led backlight so you can see in the dark?
Answer: No, you can’t see the time in the dark, but there is a LED to show that the load is switched on.
After about 6 months my timer is sporadic in working reliably. I’ve seen this on 2. Wondering if there is any way I can change the backup battery?
Answer: If not used for a long time, please plug the timer into a wall socket to charge for about 24 hours every month to maintain the battery.

Answer: Yes, it allows 10 settings!
How many are included with this purchase? Are there 2 timers as the Pictures suggest, or is the price for one timer?
Answer: There are two identical units and they work well.
When this is plugged in, is the remaining outlet still accessible?
Answer: Yes, the remaining outlet is still accessible. So far the best light timer I have owned!
Is there a manual device on/off switch that lets the timer keep going? For ex, manually turn off a lamp while not interfering with the ongoing setup.
Answer: Yes, it’s the ON/AUTO/OFF button.
- To override program and turn on light when it is OFF: Press ON/AUTO/OFF until ON shows on screen and immediately press once to return to Auto. The light will stay ON until the next scheduled OFF time.

We will be gone for 4 months, will the batteries last that long?
Answer: Yes. I use mine for houseplant lights and the plants are moved outside for the summer. I unplugged and stored the timers for the summer and when I came to use them again this fall, they had kept the correct time and on/off times! A very good product.
Is this smart timer programmed with my smart phone?
Answer: No, it isn’t.
I assume there’s a battery inside that keeps it on when not plugged in. Is it replaceable? How long will the battery last if not?
